SUMMARY:R Workshops for Microbial Ecologists
DESCRIPTION:From Pat Schloss: \nHi mothur users\, \nI wanted to let you know that I will be teaching another of my R workshops for microbial ecologists this May. The workshop will run from May 23rd to 25th near the Detroit airport. The workshop is being filled on a first come\, first served basis. The workshop is geared towards people with interests in microbial ecology that would like to learn R or to learn it better so you shouldn’t feel like this isn’t for you if you are a beginner. I assume no previous computer programming experience. The workshop is an even blend of lecture/discussion and hands on use of R with real data and typically uses mothur output files as a starting point. Here is a rough outline of the content that past workshops have covered. \nIntroduction to R — R Studio\, R markdown\, operations\, variable types\nR basics — getting data in and out\, packages\nProgramming in R — Functions\, loops\nProgramming in R — Controlling flow\nData visualization\nUsing packages \nI’m going to shift the focus of previous workshops from using R to write programs to using R to drive your data presentation with R markdown and data visualization. Feel free to email me pschloss with any questions or if you would like to learn more about registering\, accommodations\,and fees. \nThanks\,\nPat \nTwitterFacebookPress ThisLinkedInEmailMorePrintRedditWhatsAppTumblrPocketPinterestLike this:Like Loading...\n\n	Related\n
