AIA South Atlantic Region (Washington,NC)

AIA South Atlantic Region seeks innovative speakers and facilitators for presentations to be offered during the 2016 Regional Conference in Wilmington, NC, September 29 — October 1. This conference will provide the highest amount of Continuing Education Units for architect members in Georgia, North Carolina, and South Carolina in just 3 days and will also provide enriching networking and educational opportunities for associates, interns, students and allied organizations. Selected speakers will have the opportunity to gain visibility and increase their leadership role in the industry by providing valuable information to upward of twelve hundred conference attendees.

This year’s theme — Growability: Handling Growth & Density — is a call to all architects to address unprecedented growth in communities due to desirability, quality of life, the environment and jobs. As cities and towns become more dense, how can design excellence overcome these challenges, and what role can architects, engineers, planners, contractors, and landscape architects play in making our built environments more vibrant and desirable to all.

We hope you will consider entering a submission for a presentation to address this challenge or any aspect of architecture, planning, landscape architecture, technology and the built environment, profession practice/practice management. Topics may address local, urban, suburban, regional, national and global issues. Special consideration will be given to intermediate to advance level program.
