Exciting and unique postdoctoral opportunity at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory in Plant Microbiome Research
Project features:
- Develop a state-of-the-art growth chamber(“EcoPod”) to study plant-microbiome-ecosystem dynamics under conditions relevant to the real world: https://sites.google.com/lbl.gov/ecopods/
- Work with a multi-disciplinary team ofengineers, plant biologists, microbial ecologists and soil scientists at a national lab
- Conduct drought experiments with Panicum grasses
- Generate and analyze multi-faceted datasets, including genomic, transcriptomic, metabolomic and geochemical data
Required qualifications:
- Highly motivated and independently working candidates with interest in plant microbiome research
- Background in molecular biology, microbiology, bioinformatics and/or plant biology
- Experience in generating and analyzing ‘meta-omics’ data, working in symbiotic systems, and plant maintenance is of advantage
- Good communication skills and the ability to work in a team are essential
